To kick off the new year, Kurt will be releasing a demo music experience that will let users, of the Compost Your Internet website, experiment with connecting local environmental data to music elements. The final version of the website will allow users to make music with live compost data generated from the Dirt Wain compost piles, but since the cold weather won't be kind to the sensors needed for that aspect of the project, Kurt would like to start iterating on the musical interface for the website.
What if you let the current moon phase dictate the musical key? What if the current temperature in Fort Wayne drives the amount of notes played in one music cycle?
On December 31st at Noon, the demo website will be live at compostyourinternet.com. Feel free to tinker with it and send him feedback so that he can use it for future updates to the website.
